There were several news items coming out of Saturday’s set of Impact Wrestling tapings with the announcement of their next major show, the main event for that show and a notable departure from the company.

The WWE Network is scheduled to air the “Mixed Match Challenge” later in the week, Chris Adonis is leaving Impact Wrestling, EVOLVE holds their first card in 2018 tonight, a scary situation at the UFC weigh-ins with a fighter unable to weigh in, notes from the MLW event, reviews of NXT & Impact Wrestling and Ricochet bids farewell at PWG event.

PWG held its (mostly) annual Mystery Vortex show Friday night. But it was no keeping the secret from anyone in attendance at American Legion Post #308 that it would be the final independent pro-wrestling show at this juncture for Reseda favorite Ricochet, who is headed to WWE later this month.

Monday’s episode of Raw faced steep competition from the College Football Championship game and resulted in a 3.8% drop in audience on the USA Network.

New Japan Pro Wrestling has announced the lineups for their three New Beginning cards. The shows will consist of back-to-back nights in Sapporo later this month and culminate with the third show at the Edion Arena in Osaka on February 10th.
