For the second consecutive week, NXT didn’t opposition from AEW Dynamite and stayed steady with its viewership from last week’s program.

NXT finished 24th for the night on cable.

The night was dominated by FOX News with coverage of the Republican Convention and a big story involving the NBA postponing games, as well as The Weather Channel due to Hurricane Laura. Five of the top ten cable programs were from FOX News, four with The Weather Channel, and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills occupied the other slot in the top ten.

NXT also went head-to-head with the Tampa Bay Lightning vs. Boston Bruins game that did 982,000 viewers on the NBC Sports Network.

The third night of the Republican Convention averaged 15.6 million viewers across all networks, although this didn’t impact NXT as the convention itself didn’t start until 10 pm Eastern but the preceding news coverage would have.
