A ladder match will determine the next MLW National Openweight Champion at the promotion’s War Chamber event next month in Philadelphia.

MLW has announced that former champion Myron Reed, Alex Shelley, Alex Kane, Zenshi, and a mystery “Wild Card” participant will compete in a ladder match to determine the new champion on Saturday, November 6th at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia.

The winner will become the second person to hold the championship after inaugural titleholder Alex Hammerstone vacated the belt after winning the MLW World Heavyweight Championship from Jacob Fatu.

The title was introduced in 2019 with Hammerstone holding the title since June of that year.

The War Chamber card will be highlighted by the promotion’s signature match with Alex Hammerstone, EJ Nduka, Richard Holliday & TBA taking on CONTRA Unit’s Jacob Fatu, Josef Samael, Ikuro Kwon & Mads Krugger along with the finals of the Opera Cup tournament, and a singles match between Homicide and LA Park.
