Rey Mystero undergoes surgery for torn abductor muscle

Rey Mysterio is undergoing surgery on Monday after sustaining an injury last week.

Mysterio posted an Instagram story from Andrews Sports Medicine in Birmingham, Alabama, on Monday. The WWE performer stated he was about to have surgery for his torn abductor muscle, which he suffered on the April 18 edition of Friday Night SmackDown in a six-man tag match.

The injury forced Mysterio off the WrestleMania 41 – Night 1 card, where he was scheduled to face El Grande Americano and was replaced by Rey Fenix.

There is no timetable shared for his recovery.
