Roman Reigns is reportedly being considered for an upcoming live-action film based on the iconic Street Fighter video game franchise, per Deadline.
The former Undisputed WWE Champion has been in talks with film studio Legendary regarding the film, which doesn’t have a set release date currently. Other actors reportedly also being considered include Andrew Koji, Jason Momoa, and Noah Centineo.
Little is known about the film currently, including what role Reigns might play if he officially joins the movie’s cast.
If confirmed, it won’t be Reigns’ first foray into mainstream cinema. He has made a few big-screen appearances in recent years, including a supporting role in the 2019 Fast & Furious spinoff “Hobbs & Shaw.”
Reigns has eyed possible routes in entertainment after his wrestling career wraps up, as he explained in a Vanity Fair piece last month: “After I finish the contract that I’m in, we probably got another year or two max, then it’s time to take on a less physical form of entertainment.”
He later explained that, specifically with acting, he’d like to be careful with the choices he makes.
“I almost want to model it after Tarantino, where we’re not just doing anything and everything,” he said earlier this year. “I want to really plot out: I want this one, I want that one.”
