NXT saw a boost in viewership for Tuesday’s episode while staying flat in the core demographic.
The June 10 episode averaged 726,000 viewers and was the show’s largest audience since March 25, but skewed older. The 18-49 demographic was flat with last week’s average of 201,000 viewers (0.15) on CW.
Males in the core demo were down by four percent this week while females grew by nine percent. The 18-34 demographic dropped from 0.14 to 0.10, so it was the older audience that compensated for the drop in the show’s younger audience.
Tuesday was free of NBA and NHL competition, but there was a WNBA game on ESPN and Major League Baseball on TBS, airing head-to-head.
Of the eleven network programs in prime time, NXT ranked eighth as it topped The Snake on Fox, and two episodes of Celebrity Wheel of Fortune on NBC.
The show included three title matches with Oba Femi vs. Jasper Troy, Jacy Jayne vs. Lainey Reid, and Ethan Page vs. Sean Legacy.
