It’s no secret that Vince McMahon isn’t done in the business space after his sudden departure from TKO Group Holdings in early 2024. However, little is known about what exactly his next move might be.
Late last month, word got out that McMahon has launched a new sports and entertainment investment firm, “14TH & I.”
And now, a report has surfaced that McMahon was at one point considering an investment in top bare-knuckle boxing promotion Bare Knuckle Fighting Championships (BKFC).
BKFC President David Feldman confirmed a recent meeting with McMahon during a discussion with Justin Barrasso of Undisputed.
“He’s a great guy, his whole team is great, but the timing wasn’t right for us,” said Feldman. “He’s Vince McMahon–if I were him, I’d want creative control, too. He was awesome, very complimentary, and he was very serious to do business.”
BKFC has held over 120 events since its launch in 2018, often bringing in former UFC stars that would appeal to the MMA side of combat sports fandom. The promotion was acquired by Triller in early 2023, the same company which purchased FITE TV just a few years prior.
If he had gotten in on BKFC, McMahon wouldn’t be the first celebrity in its business. Conor McGregor, a former UFC champ, was announced as a part-owner of the company as of last year.
Little has been heard from McMahon ever since a civil lawsuit alleged that he sexually assaulted and trafficked former WWE staffer Janel Grant, a legal battle that remains ongoing.
McMahon’s son, Shane McMahon, told TMZ earlier this month that McMahon isn’t currently in the process of starting up a new wrestling company: “You never know what’s gonna happen … But those rumors are false.”
Shane told TMZ that Vince is “enjoying life,” but focused on what he wants to work on next. “If you know my dad, he’s always gung-ho and he’s always doing the next thing, and that’s what he’s focused on.”
