If you tune into TNT on Saturday night, you won’t see AEW Collision in its usual start time. But, you’re still likely to see AEW star Swerve Strickland, as we learned on Wednesday afternoon.
Former AEW World Champion Strickland will serve as the honorary pace car driver for Saturday evening’s NASCAR Quaker State 400 race at EchoPark Speedway in Atlanta, Georgia, the venue confirmed on social media recently.

The Quaker State 400, a rare night race for NASCAR, is expected to air at 7 p.m. ET on TNT this Saturday.
While the race caused this week’s Collision to get moved ahead to Thursday night, leaving its usual 8 p.m. timeslot, Strickland appearing as the honorary pace car driver will likely give the promotion a chance to plug its programming during the broadcast.
Saturday isn’t the first time stock car racing and pro wrestling have seen a crossover, even within this year alone. WWE’s Chelsea Green notably appeared earlier in the season, being the honorary pace car driver at Las Vegas Motor Speedway for the Pennzoil 400. Charlotte Flair and Matt Hardy have also served as pace car drivers in past years.
