El Grande Americano is the latest WWE name booked for an appearance in Lucha Libre AAA.

The persona – which was initially played by Chad Gable but has since been taken over by Ludwig Kaiser following an injury to Gable – will make an appearance at the promotion’s July 25 card in Mexico City, AAA announced Tuesday.

It’s unclear currently who Americano will face at the upcoming event. The card will be taped for TV, as noted in the announcement this week.

Gable started going by Americano back in March, insisting that the persona is an entirely different person from him. After word got out recently that Gable was pulled from WWE programming due to an undisclosed injury, it instead became Kaiser who started donning the Americano mask.

Kaiser made his first appearance as Americano on an episode of Raw earlier this month, beating Dragon Lee in singles action.

Since announcing its plan to acquire AAA back in April, WWE has sent talent over to their events on a few occasions. The Los Garza team of Angel and Berto appeared at Triplemania Regia last month, capturing the promotion’s World Tag Team Championships.

Earlier this month, NXT’s Lola Vice teamed with Santino Marella to take on La Hiedra and Mr. Iguana as part of a show in Aguascalientes.
