John & Wai return to the theatre this month as both share their reaction to You Can See Everything, the buzzworthy doc from Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim on Elizabeth Holmes. The film has a positive score of 96% on Rotten Tomatoes and has been one of the major hits of the year.
This month, Rewind-A-Wai covers SummerSlam from 1994 and 2002. First, they will chat about the show from ’02 as Shawn Michaels has his first match in a WWE ring since WrestleMania 14 as he faces Triple H. It’s also the crowning of Brock Lesnar after a summer-long build-up for his match with The Rock and includes one of the best opening matches in the company’s history. Then, it’s back to ’94 right after the steroid distribution trial and a puzzling attraction with The Undertaker versus…The Undertaker. John & Wai go over the weird main event, Bret vs. Owen in a steel cage, Tatanka “sells out”, and Leslie Nielsen.
We will have reviews of NJPW Power Struggle this week with Karen Peterson & Bruce Lord, TNA Destination X with John Pollock, and UFC 334 from Madison Square Garden with Jack Wannan & Eric Marcotte.
Book Club returns at the end of the month with John Pollock & Neal Flanagan covering Not the Perfect Victim by Nikita Hand, as she outlines her civil rape case against Conor McGregor stemming from an incident inside a hotel room eight years ago.
