There has been a lot of change in TNA, and the company could be working with a new partner.

According to PWInsider’s Mike Johnson, TNA and OVW have been working toward a working agreement that would see OVW become “what would be essentially a developmental system for TNA.” The deal is expected to be signed soon.

Johnson added, citing sources, that TNA President Carlos Silva has attended OVW events and was expected at the promotion’s recent 1400th TV episode celebration, but was not in attendance.

The working relationship would come after a “workforce reduction” and multiple departures, including the confirmed departures of Tessa Blanchard and Tommy Dreamer. Sami Callihan confirmed his departure on social media, and other performers like Steve Maclin and Myla Grace reportedly requested and were granted their releases.

A TNA-OVW working relationship also would follow TNA’s relationship with WWE, where NXT stars would appear on Impact and vice versa on NXT television. Since TNA’s debut on AMC, Arianna Grace and Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo have been the only consistent WWE presence on Impact.
