Ethan Page’s first main roster WWE title reign has finally arrived.
Page won the WWE Intercontinental Championship on Monday Night Raw, dethroning Chad Gable.
Gable looked as though he was nearing a win late, scoring a powerslam then transitioning into an Ankle Lock, a submission he had been pursuing throughout the match. But Page escaped the hold by running Gable into a turnbuckle he had exposed earlier in the match, then connected with his EgoPlex finisher for the pinfall victory.

Page joined the WWE main roster in April, getting called up to NXT and becoming a part of the Raw roster. He has been in the midcard title mix for months prior to his win this week.
Page previously held the NXT Championship and NXT’s North American Championship, but his win on Monday marks the first time he has won gold since moving up to one of WWE’s marquee weekly programs.
Gable won the Intercontinental title back at Summerslam, defeating Penta in an 11-minute showdown. He was looking to defend his title for the fifth time this week.
