The WWE Title match at ‘Day 1’ is now a Fatal 4-Way.

The WWE Championship match for the ‘Day 1’ pay-per-view has undergone another change. Bobby Lashley secured his spot in the match that was originally supposed to be Big E defending against Seth Rollins. Kevin Owens secured his spot in the match and Lashley got three victories on Raw to earn his way into the title match.

It was made official that if Lashley could defeat Kevin Owens, Seth Rollins and Big E in singles matches, he would be added to the bout at Day 1. Lashley bested all three men and in the case of Big E, MVP assisted in that victory on top of Rollins and Owens getting involved.

This is Lashley’s first WWE Title opportunity since challenging Big E on the 9/27 Raw. Lashley reigned as WWE Champion from March of this year until September.

It has been two years since Kevin Owens challenged for the WWE Title on pay-per-view. His last shot at the title was at Money In The Bank 2019 where he went one-on-one with Kofi Kingston. Below is the updated card for WWE Day 1:

  • WWE Championship — Fatal 4-Way Match: Big E (c) vs. Seth Rollins vs. Kevin Owens vs. Bobby Lashley
  • WWE Universal Championship: Roman Reigns (c) (w/ Paul Heyman) vs. Brock Lesnar
  • SmackDown Tag Team Championships: The Usos (Jimmy & Jey Uso) (c) vs. The New Day (Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods)
  • Edge vs. The Miz
  • Migos appearance (Quavo, Offset & Takeoff)
  • Raw Women’s Championship: Becky Lynch (c) vs. Liv Morgan
