AEW Rampage aired live from Orlando, Florida, and had a triple threat match for the TNT Championship advertised. AEW also promoted a Face of the Revolution ladder match qualifier between Christian Cage and Ethan Page.

Match Results:

  • Sammy Guevara defeated Andrade and Darby Allin to retain the TNT Championship
  • Keith Lee defeated JD Drake
  • Serena Deeb defeated Leila Grey in less than one minute
  • Christian defeated Ethan Page to qualify for the Face of the Revolution ladder match

The show started with the three-way match for the TNT Championship with all three competitors already in the ring as the show went live. It was a fantastic match in front of a hot crowd. Highlights included a powerbomb-superplex combination, a snap suplex into the buckle by Andrade to Sammy Guevara, and Darby beating Andrade with a studded belt.

After the match, Guevara offered to help Allin up, but Allin slid out the ring, rejecting Guevara’s offer.

The Death Triangle challenged the House of Black to a match at Revolution. Alex Abrahantes implied that he’d be the third man in the six-person match, but Erick Redbeard came out to be the third man to face off against the House of Black. A huge pull-apart took place, leading to Redbeard, Penta, and Pac destroying security guards.

Dan Lambert managed to get Scorpio Sky a match for the TNT Championship on the 3/9 episode of AEW Dynamite.

The crowd loved Keith Lee as he faced JD Drake. Lee sold a little more than you might expect from a Keith Lee JD versus JD Drake match, but in the end, he picked up the win before The Wingmen attacked Keith Lee. That didn’t go well for them, as Lee destroyed them all.

As Hobbs and Starks were getting ready to attack Keith Lee, Orange Cassidy’s music hit and they gave up their plans of assault.

AEW showed a CM Punk promo recorded on Wednesday and if you didn’t want to see the match versus MJF, this promo will sell you on it.

Deeb beat Leila Grey in about a minute. She attacked Grey after the match before Hikaru Shida made her return, attacking Deeb with a kendo stick. She had the words “I’m Back” written on her face, so we should be seeing more of Shida going forward.

Christian Cage defeated Ethan Page. Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus came out to celebrate after the match, and there didn’t appear to be any further teases of friction between the group. After a brief celebration, The Young Bucks and ReDragon came out to stare down Jurassic Express. The Young Bucks and ReDragon each stole one tag belt before Luchasaurus took them back.
