NXT Roadblock draws largest 18-49 audience of the year

NXT Roadblock generated the show’s largest 18-49 audience of the year and finished among the top fifteen programs on cable on Tuesday.

The March 7th edition from averaged 624,000 viewers and approximately 222,000 (0.17) in the 18-49 demographic, per Wrestlenomics and Showbuzz Daily.

The show ranked #13 among cable originals, which was led by the Memphis Grizzlies vs. L.A. Lakers (1,3448,000 and 0.46), and Philadelphia 76ers vs. Minnesota Timberwolves (886,000 and 0.28) on TNT.

NXT increased by 12 percent in viewership and was its largest audience since February 14th.  

Roadblock was NXT’s largest 18-49 audience since December 13, 2022, which was also headlined by Roxanne Perez when she beat Mandy Rose to become the NXT Women’s Champion. The key demo audience was up by 28 percent from last week.

In the key demo, female viewership increased by 36 percent this week and was its largest number in that demo since November 15, 2022. Male viewership in the demo was up by 23 percent, which was its highest number since December 13, 2022.

Adults 18-34 improved by 44 percent while 35-49 increased by 15 percent, and adults 50+ experienced a small gain of three percent.

In Canada, NXT Roadblock averaged approximately 52,000 viewers and 23,000 in the 25-54 demographic on Sportsnet 360, which was an increase of ten and four percent respectively from last week. The show did not rank among the top ten sports programs in the country on Tuesday.

Roadblock was headlined by Roxanne Perez defending the NXT Women’s Championship against Meiko Satomura and also featured Shawn Michaels appearing on the Grayson Waller Effect.
