Clark Connors & Drilla Moloney become IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Champions at NJPW STRONG Independence Day

BULLET CLUB War Dogs go 2/2.

There were two championship matches on night one of NJPW STRONG Independence Day and the first of those two saw BULLET CLUB War Dogs’ Gabriel Kidd and Alex Coughlin defeat Bishamon (YOSHI-HASHI & Hirooki Goto) for the STRONG Openweight Tag Team Titles.

Following that match, fellow BULLET CLUB members Clark Connors and Drilla Moloney ended TJP and Francesco Akira’s reign as IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champions.

War Dogs now have two sets of titles within the faction and come night two of Independence Day, Kidd and Coughlin are going to have the opportunity to become double champions.

They’ll be facing Bishamon once again but with the IWGP Tag Team Titles on the line.
