Kazuchika Okada will participate in a pair of ten-man tag matches in his final matches for New Japan Pro Wrestling.
Before departing the company, Okada will be part of the New Beginning in Sapporo events on February 23 & 24 with his matchups confirmed by the promotion.
On the first night, Okada will team with CHAOS teammates Tomohiro Ishii, YOSHI-HASHI, Hirooki Goto & YOH against United Empire’s Jeff Cobb, Great O-Khan, HENARE, Francesco Akira & Callum Newman.
Okada’s final match on February 24 will be another ten-man tag as he teams with Hiroshi Tanahashi, Ishii, Goto & YOSHI-HASHI against Matt Riddle, Jeff Cobb, Great O-Khan, HENARE & Francesco Akira.
Okada is expected to be joining the AEW roster barring any unforeseen circumstances. Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful reports that Okada agreed to a deal several weeks ago, although hasn’t confirmed if a deal has officially been signed.
