
Drew McIntyre will kick off his SmackDown tenure with a triple-threat match for a place in the men’s Elimination Chamber match.
The news came from SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis in a social media post on Friday.
Aldis announced McIntyre as the newest addition to his roster and then the Scotsman appeared. McIntyre said:
Good to be here. You see that? How simple this is? Even though I’m a gigantic superstar, I don’t need the pomp and circumstance. I don’t need the in-ring celebration. I don’t need stupid fireworks going off for five minutes. All I need is what this man’s going to give me, someone I’ve known since 2005 and I can trust — an opportunity without any BS.
