Callahan wrapped up with the company in 2024.

Via a post on LinkedIn, former WWE writer Ryan Callahan revealed that his time with the company came to an end in 2024. He expressed gratitude to WWE and to the friends he made while there. Callahan wrote the following:

Hope everyone is having a lovely new year. For those who are unaware, my time with WWE came to an end last year. I am grateful for my time there, the friends I made, and the stories we told.

I’ve been working on some freelance projects, and some long-on-the-back-burner personal projects, which has been incredibly fulfilling.

If anyone in the greater NYC area needs any writing / directing / producing/ development / sarcastic quips / blu-ray recommendations, I am available.

In 2023, Callahan, Stephanie McMahon, Christine Lubrana, Jen Pepperman, Chris Dunn and Mike Heller were named in a lawsuit that was filed by former WWE writer Britney Abrahams. In the suit, there were claims of discriminatory treatment, harassment, hostile work environment, wrongful termination and unlawful retaliation against Abrahams due to her race, color and gender.

That same year, Abrahams voluntarily dismissed the lawsuit with prejudice
