Mysterio not cleared to compete so Fenix is filling in.
There was a six-man tag match on the 4/18 Friday Night SmackDown that saw Rey Mysterio, Rey Fenix and Dragon Lee take on American Made (Chad Gable, Julius Creed & Brutus Creed).
As the match was ongoing, Julius yanked Mysterio out of the ring by his leg and pulled him to the floor. Mysterio did not return to the match and the ringside medical staff were checking on him. He was scheduled to face El Grande Americano on night one of WrestleMania 41.
Following the announcement of WWE acquiring Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide, Jackie Redmond conducted an interview with Mysterio to get an update on his status. Mysterio said he’s not cleared to compete, but taking his place in the bout against El Grande will be Rey Fenix.
