Toni Storm and Mina Shirakawa are running it back.

A little under a year after they first met in a high-stakes title bout, AEW Women’s World Champion Storm and recent signing Shirakawa will face off at Double or Nothing on May 25.

The world title matchup is now among three bookings confirmed for AEW’s upcoming pay-per-view at the Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona.

Shirakawa earned her upcoming title shot against Storm by winning a four-way title eliminator bout this Wednesday. Along with her and Storm, the match included a returning Skye Blue and STARDOM’s AZM.

Shirakawa got the better of a roll-up duel against Storm, putting together a pinfall that Storm wasn’t able to kick out of, ending the match in 12 minutes.

The victory marked Shirakawa’s first in-ring appearance on AEW TV since she announced her departure from prominent Joshi promotion STARDOM and confirmed that she would become a full-time AEW talent.

Prior to her loss on Wednesday, Storm had been on a run of beating contenders in title eliminator bouts. In recent weeks she got past Queen Aminata, Miyu Yamashita, Lady Frost, Anna Jay, Penelope Ford, and Thunder Rosa.

Storm and Shirakawa previously met in a singles bout last June at Forbidden Door 2024. Storm’s prior reign as women’s champ was extended with a win in that match after nearly 12 minutes.

Here are the three matches announced for AEW Double or Nothing thus far:

  • Toni Storm vs. Mina Shirakawa (AEW Women’s World Championship)
  • Mercedes Moné vs. Jamie Hayter (Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament Grand Final)
  • Adam Page vs. Will Ospreay (Owen Hart Foundation Men’s Tournament Grand Final)
