
WWE has confirmed the signings of three Olympians.
The promotion issued a release on Friday to announce the signings of Shady Elnahas, Francois Prinsloo, and Aaron Fara.
Elnahas, 27, is originally from Egypt before moving to Canada. He competed in Judo, including a fifth-place finish at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo after making it to the bronze medal match while representing Canada. He is a four-time gold medallist at the Pan-American Championships and won gold at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in the under 100-kilogram category.
Prinsloo, 23, was born in Kenya and attended the University of South Alabama in the U.S. While competing as a discus thrower, he became an NCAA Division I champion and represented South Africa at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. |
Fara, 27, was born in Austria and also competed in Judo, where he represented his country in the 2024 Olympics in Paris. Fara lost in the opening round to Aaron Wolf of Japan. Fara won gold at the IJF Grand Slam in 2023 and the European Junior Championships in 2016 in the under-100-kg category.
