Gail Kim has had to pull out of Saturday’s NWA Crockett Cup event at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia.

The TNA Hall of Famer was set to officiate the NWA World Women’s Championship match between Kenzie Paige and WWE’s Natalya.

Kim released a statement on Saturday citing “severe flu/covid symptoms” as the reason for her absence.

“I am sorry to have to announce that I cannot make it to the Crockett Cup today in Philadelphia,” Kim wrote. “I hate to let the fans down and most of all Nattie and Kenzie but post cruise last Sunday, I went down hard.”

Kim noted she delayed making the announcement in hopes of recovering in time for the event, but continues to experience a high fever.

Kim was among a number of senior management figures who were let go by TNA in March.

The NWA has also announced a change to Saturday’s main event. Thom Latimer will now defend the NWA World Heavyweight Championship in a triple-threat match against both Rhino and Colby Corino.
