Red Velvet is staying optimistic after suffering an injury.

It was announced Tuesday by Tony Khan that an undisclosed injury has taken ROH Women’s Television Champion Red Velvet out of action, causing the promotion to create an interim title for the division.

ROH vet Velvet provided an update on Wednesday following the news of her setback, stating that her time away is a “pause” after not being medically cleared.

“Not the news I wanted to share,” Velvet wrote on X. “I won’t be cleared to compete at Supercard of Honor due to injury. Don’t get it twisted this is just a pause, not the end. To the new Interim ROH Women’s TV Champ congrats in advance. Hold it down, because when I come back? I’m coming for it ALL.”

Red Velvet last wrestled at CMLL’s Fantasticamania card in mid-June, going seven minutes against Kira. She has held the ROH Women’s TV title for a little under a year, first claiming the belt back in 2024 over Billie Starkz.

It remains unclear how long she will be out of action for.
