Robbie Eagles & Kosei Fujita topped the B Block of the NJPW Super Junior Tag League on Sunday, setting the tournament final for Power Struggle.

Eagles & Fujita defeated YOH & Hyo in the main event at Sanyo Fureai Park General Gymnasium in Akaiwa, Okayama, to finish at 4-1 with eight points.

They will face A Block winners Taiji Ishimori & Robbie X in the tournament final on November 3 at Hiroshima Sun Plaza Hall.

On Saturday, Ishimori & Robbie X also finished their block at 4-1 and advanced via a head-to-head tiebreak over DOUKI & Yoshinobu Kanemaru.

Eagles & Fujita take B Block

Three teams entered Sunday tied on six points and still capable of reaching the final.

AEW and ROH wrestlers Blake Christian & Lee Johnson kept their hopes alive by defeating Francesco Akira & Jakob Austin Young.

Christian pinned Young after a tandem finishing sequence, moving his team to eight points and eliminating YOH & Hyo from contention before the main event.

That left Eagles & Fujita needing a victory to advance.

YOH & Hyo pushed them deep into the main event, but Eagles broke up Hyo’s attempt at a finishing move before he and Fujita combined to put Hyo away.

Eagles & Fujita therefore finished level with Christian & Johnson on eight points, but advanced because they had defeated them in their head-to-head match on October 25.

Elsewhere, Titán & Daiki Nagai finally earned their first tournament victory by defeating SHO & Dick Togo, leaving both teams at 1-4.

Familiar opponents meet in Hiroshima

The finalists have already traded the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship this year. Ishimori & Robbie X took the titles from Eagles & Fujita at NJPW’s 54th Anniversary Event in Tokyo on March 6, before Eagles & Fujita regained them at Wrestling Redzone in Hiroshima on April 25.

Meanwhile, the status of the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship remains complicated by El Desperado’s injury. Desperado, who holds the titles with Místico, withdrew from the tournament and was replaced by Masatora Yasuda.
