X Division Championship Tournament Match: Laredo Kid vs. Alex Zayne vs. Trey Miguel

The winner of this will advance to the finals at Bound for Glory where a new X Division Champion will be crowned. Alex Zayne makes his IMPACT Wrestling return after appearing recently in PWG, GCW, ROH, and more since being released from WWE. All three men start the match bouncing off of each other ending with a triple dropkick as they standoff and the crowd chants ‘X Division’. With Laredo knocked to the outside, Zayne hits a shooting star senton for a two-count on Miguel, Laredo comes in and dropkicks Zayne to the outside. Miguel comes in and knocks Laredo out with a huricanrana off the apron to the floor, and still was able to land on his legs, Zayne meets them out there with a moonsault off the ropes.  Back inside, Zayne leapfrogs off Miguel and dropkicks Laredo out, Miguel stops Zayne on the top rope with a cheeky Nando’s and a 619 in the corner. Miguel ties up both Laredo and Zayne as Matthew Rehwoldt is watching from backstage. Miguel is balancing off the ropes, but Laredo joins him there and takes him out with a huricanrana as all three men continue to beat on each other. Miguel ends the match hitting a Meteora on Laredo Kid for the win.

Winner: Trey Miguel by pinfall at 8:41, to advance

Understanding the Art

We go to Matthew Rehwoldt backstage where he is discussing watching Laredo Kid’s match and says he was building his art by the way he was wrestling and how there are so many people in his position that would attack his mask, but he knows he’s not hiding behind it, the world just doesn’t understand. They don’t understand his art and Lucha libre, but he understood him so next week he wants to bring him to his world and show him how to make the world accept what they create and their art, so he wants Laredo to accept him.

The Land of Misfit Toys

We see a video from earlier today where Sami Callihan is seen being attended to from his attack from Moose and being transported to a ‘local medical facility’, because of this Moose is banned from tonight’s Street Fight between Eddie Edwards and W. Morrissey. Edwards chimes in and says Morrissey has been coddled and taken care of his entire career and here in IMPACT Wrestling, it’s the land of misfit toys and he isn’t ready for what’s going to happen. Tonight, it ends once and for all and he’ll be coming for Moose next.

IMPACT Knockouts Tag Team Championship #1 Contender’s Match: The Influence (Madison Rayne & Tenille Dashwood) (w/ Kaleb with a K) vs. Jordynne Grace & Rachael Ellering

Tenille and Ellering start the match, as Ellering and Grace make fun of The Influence by pretending to take selfies in their corner then go right over to take down Tenille. Tenille comes back and trips Ellering to the outside as Kaleb tries to take pictures but gets stopped by Grace, who herself gets taken down by Rayne. The Influence stops to take a picture as they go to commercials.

When we come back, Grace is in and keeping Tenille in the corner with shoulder blocks, we see footage from the commercial with Ellering whipping Tenille against the barricade. Grace & Ellering continue to double team Tenille, with Ellering getting a two count. Rayne tags in and works on the neck of Grace with a cravat while keeping Grace in their corner. Ellering comes in and hits the low crossbody in the corner for a two. The Influence double teams Grace by stepping on her hair, but Grace powers out and tags in Ellering who comes in and is able to take out both Rayne and Ellering. Grace hits a Vader Bomb on Rayne, but Kaleb puts Rayne’s foot on the rope to stop the count. With everybody causing a distraction for the referee and Grace taking out Kaleb outside, The Influence hit a double face plant on Ellering inside and got the win.

Winners: The Influence (Madison Rayne & Tenille Dashwood) by pinfall at 13:18

Knocking on The Forbidden Door

Gia Miller is backstage with Christopher Daniels and asks him what brought him back. Daniels says he wanted to give the Forbidden Door a knock, but he didn’t need to knock when he helped build the house. The Fallen Angel has returned to IMPACT Wrestling and tonight he reads the gospel to Madman Fulton. Josh Alexander interrupts and thanks Daniels for his help, Christian Cage walks in and says he wouldn’t have needed his help if he kept the eyes in the back of his head open. Daniels tells them to cut it out and he has his own agenda and maybe he will tell them about it soon. Cage tells Alexander he didn’t help him out because he’s Canadian, but because he wants to protect him before their match at Bound for Glory and tells Alexander to keep those emotions under check.

Chapter 41: Physical Fitness

We get another Brian Myers ‘How to Be a Professional Wrestler’, with Myers having the rest of The Learning Tree doing pushups and yells at Zicky Dice, Sam Beale, and Manny Lemons about their form and makes them do 250 pushups as VSK is just watching them on and Lemons asked them why he isn’t doing any, Myers says he did and finished 10 minutes again. Beale accuses Myers of playing favorites with VSK. Myers says VSK already knows all these lessons and blames the other three for costing them the title match last week, tells them to straighten up or they will get a ‘roster cut’, and he leaves with VSK to go get a steak. Beale then takes over the role of Myers and gives Lemons and Dice notebooks and tells them to take notes. Lemons squirts a lemon and Dice tells him to never squirt on him again.

The Good Bookers

We go to another black and white Good Brothers’ vacation video where they are talking about everything they’ve been doing since being away and say they have been beating up Jon Moxley and others. Doc Gallows says they have been studious by watching IMPACT Wrestling and plug the Insider membership on YouTube and start naming all the new wrestlers and what they think about them before talking about the Bullet Club here living off of their name. They then talk about beating FinJuice and mention that they need opponents at Bound for Glory and suggest FinJuice vs. Bullet Club and the winners can face them there on the pay-per-view.

Hardcore Country Fight

We go to a video of Deonna Purrazzo driving to a farm and ask a gentleman there where Mickie James is. She pulls up to a barn and finds Mickie doing some farm work inside. They start brawling and fighting inside where the hay is and Deonna takes her out with a couple of buckets and a wheelbarrow before trying to close the door on her. Mickie stops her and they continue to fight inside the horse barn, but Deonna gets the upper hand and hits her with another bucket before grabbing a rake saying she is ‘going to kill her’. Mickie ducks the rake attack and starts attacking Deonna with a bucket and asks if she wants to see Hardcore Country before hitting her with a helmet. They take it outside and start fighting on a wooden part as Deonna starts choking Mickie with a rope, but Mickie stops her by spraying her in the face with a hose and tossing a barrel on her. Deonna starts pushing Mickie’s face in a bucket of water until someone off-screen screams to stop it and Deonna leaves the scene.

Bullet Club Beating Time

We go to FinJuice who talks about being outnumbered last week by Bullet Club. David Finlay says they found a way to even the odds and introduce Chris Sabin. Sabin says he’s a huge fan and he hates the Bullet Club and next week they can beat them and go for beers after.

Madman Fulton (w/ Ace Austin) vs. Christopher Daniels

This is Christopher Daniels’ first match in IMPACT since February 2014. Fulton starts the match in control and hits a vertical suplex on Daniels, but Daniels comes back and attacks until Fulton stops his crossbody attempt. Daniels starts fighting back with strikes and dodges Fulton in the corner before hitting a forearm knocking Fulton to the outside. Daniels meets him outside with an Arabian Moonsault to the outside. Daniels tries to fight Fulton in the corner but gets pushed off and hits with a big boot and a big splash for a two count. The crowd rallies behind Daniels as Fulton keeps whipping him across the corners. Fulton stands on the second rope and pulls Daniels up by the neck before hitting a big crossbody for a two-count. Daniels stops Fulton’s momentum with a jumping DDT followed by a couple of forearms but fails to knock Fulton down. Daniels catches Fulton in the corner and hits a huricanrana off the second rope and an STO for a two-count. Daniels tries another one, but Fulton breaks out and hits a power slam for a two-count. Fulton distracts the referee as Ace Austin starts taking some cheap shots until Josh Alexander runs out and fights Austin to the back. Daniels back inside hits Angel’s Wings but only gets a one-count. Daniels hits a forearm to the back of Fulton following by the Best Moonsault Ever for the three-count.

Winner: Christopher Daniels by pinfall at 6:50

No More Swinger’s Palace???

We go to Swinger’s Palace where Johnny Swinger is trying on a yellow tie getting ready for his meeting with Scott D’Amore. John E. Bravo says D’Amore is reasonable and not to be worried, D’Amore walks in, and Swinger asks where A-1 is but D’Amore tells Swinger to cut to the chase. Swinger tells D’Amore not to do Bound for Glory in Las Vegas and he’ll get to keep Swinger. D’Amore says that’s a one-sided deal, but Swinger tells him to think about it. Swinger says they’ll just have to move everything to Vegas, and they’ll put them all out of business. D’Amore says it won’t be a problem as long as they have a Las Vegas Casino License. Swinger admits not even having one in Tennessee, so D’Amore says because of that admission he has to shut Swinger’s Palace down permanently.

The Inmates Running the Asylum

Ace Austin and Madman Fulton are in the back, and they start knocking on Scott D’Amore’s door. Austin tells him he’s upset and D’Amore has to do something about it, and the ‘inmates are running the asylum’ here with everybody getting involved in their matches. D’Amore says he sees he has a problem and needs help, and he has his word that they’ll get a resolution and last week he gave his word to Christian Cage, and to settle everybody’s problem next week it’ll be Austin & Fulton vs. Christian Cage & Josh Alexander.

Rhino Makes a Choice + Heath Returns

Violent by Design comes to the ring, but it’s only Eric Young, Deaner & Joe Doering with no Rhino. Young says VBD had all the momentum, power, and control but someone made a mistake and let the sickness back in. Someone let the sickness take control and that someone was Rhino. Young says Rhino made a mistake and he forced their hand and they had to leave him lying so he could see the truth and he could be his purest form, so now what Rhino has is a decision to make. Rhino is either with VBD or he walks away, but nobody walks away and tells him Rhino needs to make the right choice as the crowd chants ‘walk away’. Rhino slowly makes his way to the ring and stands face to face with VBD. Young asks him again what he’s going to do and to not listen to the fans but him, as Young’s voice is the only voice that matters. Young keeps telling Rhino to make the right choice, or it’ll force VBD to be violent again as VBD starts surrounding Rhino. Young again says nobody walks away from VBD and tells him to do the right thing. Before Rhino can make his choice, Heath’s music plays as he returns to IMPACT. Heath goes to the ring and starts attacking Deaner and Doering. Heath goes after Young, but Young escapes to the back with the rest of VBD. Heath puts his arms out for a hug, but Rhino doesn’t do it and instead leaves out through the crowd not siding with VBD or Heath.

Street Fight: W. Morrissey vs. Eddie Edwards

They automatically start brawling as the bell rings, but Morrissey stops Edwards from running on the ropes with a big boot before taking it to the outside, but Edwards greets Morrissey with trash can lids to the head. Morrissey starts bringing weapons in the ring and hits Edwards with a wet sign. Edwards tries to dive outside on Morrissey but gets stopped with another wet sign that breaks over Edwards’ head. Morrissey ends up back outside and Edwards does hit him with the suicide dive before Edwards grabs a replica of the old TNA title and hits Morrissey with it. Edwards leans a table on the apron and smacks Morrissey onto it. Morrissey stops him and rams Edwards into the steel steps before slamming Edwards head onto it a couple of times. Edwards is able to stop Morrissey with a drop toe hold as Morrissey goes face-first into the steel steps and they go to commercial.

When we come back, the ring is filled with weapons and Morrissey is setting up a table on the apron, we see during the commercial Morrissey came back with a chokeslam to Edwards on the steps. Morrissey hits repeated trash can lid shots to the head of Edwards but misses a big splash in the corner. Edwards sets up a trash can and hits Morrissey with a Blue Thunder Bomb onto it. Edwards goes under the ring and pulls out a barbed wire-wrapped chair. Edwards goes to hit Morrissey with it, but Morrissey dodges it and hits a big boot as D’Lo breaks down the significance of the Timberland boot. Morrissey sets up a chair on top of Edwards and drops down onto him while holding another chair. Morrissey sets up four chairs and goes to superplex Edwards onto them but Alisha runs out and hits Morrissey repeatedly with ‘Kendra’ the kendo stick, which causes Edwards to powerbomb Morrissey through the chairs but only get a one-count. Alisha hands Edwards the kendo stick as Edwards repeatedly hits Morrissey with them, goes for the Boston Knee Party but gets stopped by Alisha. Alisha holds up the barbed wire chair for Edwards to use for the extreme Boston Knee Party and gets the pin.

Winner: Eddie Edwards by pinfall at 15:52

As Edwards and Alisha are celebrating, Moose comes out, takes out Alisha, and hits the Lights Out spear to Edwards through the table in the corner that was set up earlier as Alisha crawls over to check on Edwards. Moose and Morrissey stand over Alisha, toss Edwards to the outside and force Alisha to watch as Moose jams Edwards neck in a chair and tosses him against the ring post before hitting Edwards with two chair shots while his neck was still trapped in the chair.
