There is one undisputed IWGP world heavyweight champion coming out of the second night of Wrestle Kingdom 16.

In the main event at the Tokyo Dome, Kazuchika Okada pinned Will Ospreay with a final sequence including a dropkick, Landslide, and Rainmaker after 32 minutes and 53 seconds.

After two nights, Okada is the undisputed champion after dispatching former champion Shingo Takagi on the first night and beating Ospreay, who laid claim to the title after never being defeated last spring when he was stripped.

After the match, Tetsuya Naito issued a challenge in the ring and will be the next challenger for the IWGP world heavyweight championship with a date and location to be announced.

It will be Okada and Naito’s first match since January 5, 2020, when Naito became Double champion at the Tokyo Dome.
