AAA has released the lineup for the first of its three TripleMania events in 2024.

The promotion will stage the first leg of the events on April 27 at Mobil Super Stadium in Monterrey with former WWE talent Nic Nemeth meeting Alberto El Patron in the main event for the vacant AAA Mega Championship.

Earlier this week, the championship was vacated by Hijo del Vikingo due to injury after holding the belt since December 2021.

Nemeth and Patron have a history in WWE when Nemeth – as Dolph Ziggler – cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase on El Patron in April 2013 to win the World Heavyweight Championship on the night after WrestleMania 29.

Vampiro is part of a Trios match as AAA is promoting this as the performer’s retirement tour while adding that Latin Lover will be accompanying Vampiro at the show.

The other TripleMania cards are scheduled for June 15 in Tijuana at Chevron Stadium, and August 17 at Mexico City Arena.

TrillerTV’s Mike Weber confirmed to POST Wrestling that the event will stream as a standalone pay-per-view on the platform.
