The official opening night of the New Japan Cup.
On March 7th, New Japan Pro-Wrestling was supposed to start their 2025 New Japan Cup tournament. A talk show was hosted instead due to one of the ring posts being broken.
The tournament officially started on 3/8 at Korakuen Hall and there were 1,508 fans in attendance to watch the action. Four names advanced out of the first round. Here are the results:
