Jay White is back.

White, who has been out of action for over a year, made his sudden return on Sunday night during a match for the AEW World Tag Team Championships at Forbidden Door.

The New Zealand-born wrestler helped Christian Cage and Adam Copeland retain against The Dogs duo of David Finlay and Clark Connors as part of the pay-per-view card in San Diego, California.

After the referee was taken out late during Sunday’s title match, The Dogs started resorting to cheap tactics. Finlay took out his shillelagh and was ready to use it as a weapon. But, then, the lights in the venue suddenly went out.

The Bang Bang Gang (The Gunns, Ace Austin and Juice Robinson) appeared on stage. Then, after the trademark sound of a knife hitting the floor played in the SAP Center, White suddenly appeared in the ring.

White gave Finlay a Blade Runner, allowing Copeland to hit a spear and win the match in 16 minutes.

Sunday was the first time that Cope & Cage defended the AEW World Tag Team Championships. The veteran duo earned their first titles together in over 25 years when they took down FTR at Double or Nothing last month.

The Dogs were searching for their first tag titles since making the move from NJPW to AEW earlier this year.
