Mini Vikingo & Starboy Charlie are among six teams announced on Saturday for the 2026 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.
NXT revealed the additions in a series of posts on X on Saturday.
The teams announced were:
- BirthRight (Uriah Connors & Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo)
- Mini Vikingo & Starboy Charlie
- Fraxiom (Nathan Frazer & Axiom)
- DarkState (Cutler James & Osiris Griffin)
- Noam Dar & Romeo Moreno
- Los Americanos (Rayo Americano & Bravo Americano)
The Creed Brothers (Julius & Brutus Creed) had already been confirmed for the tournament.
NXT Tag Team Champions The Vanity Project (Ricky Smokes & Brad Baylor) and AAA Tag Team Champions The Wagner Brothers (El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. & Galeno) will also participate, with both championship teams receiving first-round byes.
That brings the number of announced teams to nine. The tournament will have a 14-team field featuring talent from NXT, Raw, SmackDown, Evolve and AAA, with further entrants due to be revealed Sunday.
The competition begins on Tuesday’s NXT.
Mini Vikingo has been appearing regularly for AAA this year, while Starboy Charlie entered WWE’s developmental system through WWE ID and Evolve earlier in 2026. He has been appearing on Evolve as Chazz “Starboy” Hall after earning a WWE ID contract in March.
Fraxiom are former NXT Tag Team Champions and also competed in the previous Dusty Classic in 2024. Frazer & Axiom reached the semifinals before losing to eventual winners Bron Breakker & Baron Corbin.
The Dusty Classic is returning after a two-year absence.
The tournament was introduced in 2015 to honor Dusty Rhodes, who had died earlier that year after serving as an influential trainer and mentor within WWE’s developmental system. Finn Balor & Samoa Joe won the inaugural edition.
The 2024 tournament was won by Breakker & Corbin, who subsequently defeated Tony D’Angelo & Stacks to capture the NXT Tag Team Championship.
