Kenny Omega scored a non-title victory in Tuesday’s three-way match-up at Power Struggle to set the stage for the Tokyo Dome.

Tuesday’s return by Omega to the promotion where he gained worldwide fame saw the former IWGP heavyweight champion pin Yota Tsuji in a match involving Boltin Oleg.

Omega used the One-Winged Angel on Oleg but didn’t go for the cover. Instead, targeting the current IWGP heavyweight champ. A V-Trigger and One-Winged Angel secured the non-title victory in 12 minutes and 53 seconds.

Omega addressed the crowd, stating if Tsuji didn’t have an opponent on January 4, then he wanted the match with the championship on the line. It all but guarantees the match is set in stone for the Tokyo Dome. Omega hinted that by winning the title, he would wrestle in New Japan more often.

It was noted that this will be a “generational clash” from two eras of the promotion, with Omega competing on the tenth anniversary of his first Wrestle Kingdom main event against Kazuchika Okada.

Power Struggle was Omega’s first match in Japan since Wrestle Dynasty in January 2025, when he defeated Gabe Kidd.
