Big E to voice role in Disney+ show ‘Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man’

If you hear someone who sounds like WWE talent Big E while watching the Disney+ series “Your Friendly Neighborhood Spiderman,’ don’t be mistaken: It’s him.

Jeff Trammell, the head writer and showrunner for the animated Disney+ series which will officially launch on Wednesday, confirmed Big E’s involvement with the series during a recent interview.

When asked by Brandon Davis if he heard Big E when watching the show, Trammell responded: “Yes, you did.”

The story of Big E joining the series is an easy-to-explain one: “I asked him, he was like ‘Yeah,'” Trammell recounted.

Big E’s work on the show has been kept under wraps for some time, per Trammell.

“We’ve been recording him since a few years ago. I mean, the first time he recorded he was wearing the neck brace,” he said.

It’s unclear what role Big E will serve on the show just yet, as Trammell didn’t specify how he factored into the series.

The upcoming show adds to a growing filmography for Big E.

The former New Day member previously played Canon Wulf as part of the animated Adult Swim series “Lazor Wulf,” which ran for two seasons from 2019 to 2021. He also made a brief appearance on the Peacock series “Laid” last year as Stu Jackward.
