Netflix edits out Becky Lynch’s Dominik Mysterio line toward Liv Morgan

The censorship of WWE content on Netflix continued on this week’s episode of Raw.

Becky Lynch returned to challenge Liv Morgan for her WWE Women’s Championship. Lynch threw a dig at Morgan while she and the other female members of the Judgement Day walked off, saying Morgan wasn’t the best women’s champion in her own group. She then added, “You’re not even the greatest women’s champion who slept with Dominik Mysterio.”

This line was cut out of the Netflix replay, and after Lynch’s first line about not being the best women’s champion in her own group, the edited version cut to the Judgement Day on the ramp, during Stephanie Vaquer’s surprise return.

This follows past Netflix edits, like when Bron Breakker’s face was blurred during a cage match with Seth Rollins at Night of Champions. There also were alternate angles used to hide Breakker’s slightly bloody face. This reportedly was a WWE decision.

Brock Lesnar wore a shirt that read “Talk Sh*t Get Hit,” and despite the word already censored on the shirt, an edited version digitally erased “Sh*t” on the shirt, and alternate angles were used to not show Lesnar.

There has not been a clear explanation of the selective edits on Netflix replays, and there have not been edits on other broadcasts, like ESPN. WWE is listed as TV-PG, so it’s possible the broadcast is being kept to those standards.
